PowerSystem user manual
Start with the task and feature map to find full procedures, exact tool/study references and failure-recovery guidance.
Open and navigate
PowerSystem combines the native VeraGrid editor, isolated AI candidates, immutable engineering history and retained study evidence. An AI answer is a proposal, not validation. A completed task is not an accepted project.
Open a native project through File/Open. Preserve circuit identity, diagrams and scenarios. Inspect import diagnostics before a study. Saving the editor does not accept AI changes. Home and engineering are navigation destinations, not evidence states.
The Workspace menu opens engineering views and Project history. Ctrl+Shift+E switches chat Focus and engineering; opening history reveals engineering automatically. Ctrl+K searches commands. Ctrl+Shift+K configures shortcuts. Canvas shortcuts remain scoped to the diagram. Saved preferences can override Command defaults.
Use Network and History on the primary rail. Studies opens its bound study window; Assistant reveals the conversation dock. The native editor's own view selector stays inside Network, rather than acting as another global navigation bar. Selecting a recorded History version inspects it without replacing the editor.
Engineering views
Equipment tables edit native properties, diagrams show connectivity and results show retained quantities. Identify repeated names by native ID. Fit/zoom changes presentation, not electrical data. Accepted Original, AI candidate and inspected historical version are separate sources; read their labels before interpreting results.
Move/resize docks to arrange work. Narrow history uses selectors and a backable inspector instead of squeezing panels together. Appearance, assistant text size and reduced motion are preferences, not model changes. Save unsaved editor changes before opening another working design.
