Customer setup

Install the release you can verify.

No customer installer is available yet. These steps prepare for a verified package. Do not run an owner development checkout as a customer installer.

Start with the manifest

The download page offers a platform only when an exact release manifest marks that package qualified. Verify version, platform, publisher, byte size and SHA-256 against a trusted channel before installation. A local build or screenshot is not a release authorization.

Target platforms

Windows 11 x64

Ordinary per-user Windows installation plus a dedicated PowerSystem-only WSL2 Ubuntu 24.04 x64 backend and non-root user. Do not modify another distro.

Windows installer is not qualified.

Linux x64

Graphical Qt session, matching native runtime and Bubblewrap sandbox prerequisites.

Linux x64 installer is not qualified.

Linux ARM64

Graphical Qt session and platform-specific numerical dependencies; qualification tests use a generic Numba CPU target.

Linux ARM64 installer is not qualified.

There is no qualified macOS installer. Upstream VeraGrid breadth does not grant PowerSystem qualification for every device or format.

Windows bundle boundary

  1. Obtain the exact bundle and separate trusted manifest digest. The published package, manifest and independent digest must refer to the same release.
  2. Install per user. The qualified native installer must check the manifest and every file hash before changing the active release pointer. It must not package owner tools.
  3. Provision only the named product backend. The explicit WSL command targets a PowerSystem- distro and ordinary non-root user; it must not enumerate or alter other distros.
  4. Open and sign in as a customer. Device authorization uses the product identity and OS credential vault; no owner's Codex account or provider key is copied to the package.

The exact commands and trusted digest must accompany a qualified bundle. No customer installer is available yet. These steps prepare for a verified package. See update, rollback and uninstall safeguards.
