Selected branch outages

Kind

outages

Interpretation

Select exact active native branch IDs and review the coverage before submitting. Each selected outage is a separate change to the frozen base case, not simultaneous removal of every selected branch. Inspect the base result first, then each contingency's topology, convergence, voltage limits and thermal loading. Ratings are MVA and flows MW/MVAr; unavailable terminal quantities are not zeros. A radial outage may create a source-less island: retain that non-passing outcome instead of silently discarding the disconnected load. Unsupported branch types and absent ratings require explicit review. This is selected branch screening, not exhaustive security certification, corrective dispatch or approval to operate the network.

Run

Discover settings with study definitions. Select an exact network snapshot and case version; inspect readiness. Submit once using study_submit or the case submission tool, monitor study_status, then inspect study_results. Keep input/configuration/solver identities, warnings and failure states.

Compare and accept

Use equivalent settings/units and exact receipts. Unsupported or incompatible inputs remain explicit. Numerical qualification and human acceptance are separate. See Studies.
